Thanks for this perspective, Benya. I never thought of it like this. I myself am guilty for trying to access writing off other sites like NYT beyond my allotted free articles a month. I wonder though if it is different since we're paid by member views here, while writers at those journals/publications already get a salary. In any case though, you bring up excellent points - writing takes time, work, and should be valued.
